New Idea, new environment

Influences

Last week I have received some good critic from a couple of art directors and faculty.
It was pointed out that "what is the point of creating something that can be filmed", it would be cheaper and faster too.
So, I am starting from the beginning :(
Over the weekend I've been brainstorming and I have realized that I should do something with my culture's (Russian) influence. I have an idea for a story already and the style that I would like to achive is something like the images below.

Kitchen is almost at its completion.

Ok, this is how my hallway will look, minus the lighting and he emergency lights.

My female character is completed in maya, I just need to soften the seam on her and import her into Z-brush for texturing.

Environment

I have been working on the environement, the hallway, the entrance door. I threw a few items in the kitchen, like dish rack with dishes, microwave, some papers with magnets on the refrigerator. There is a window by the refrigerator that is not textured yet thats why it blends in with the back ground. My lighting is not yet set up, I just threw a few lights in there to show the envirnoment. The mirror over the couch will have engravings on the frame, right now it's just a placement.
